HMF Candigen (Non-Returnable) Provides two strains of Lactobacillus acidophilus in a vaginal preparation, specifically formulated for the support and management of candidiasis, fungus and yeast overgrowth, and for restoring a normal, healthy vaginal flora. Studies show that antibiotic therapy destroys normal microflora and suppresses the immune system, causing an increased incidence of bacterial, viral, and parasitic infections.
Women are most susceptible to candidiasis as infections can enter the body easily through the vagina. When the presence of Lactobacilus acidophilus, the primary beneficial vaginal flora, is compromised, harmful organisms such as Chlamydia, Gardnerella vaginalis or E. coli will infiltrate the vaginal tract.
Candigen is Indicated for the Following:
Vaginitis (Bacterial Vaginosis)
Yeast infections (Candidiasis)
Parasitic infections
Vaginal itching and inflammation
During or after use of antibiotics to prevent infections
During use of oral contraceptives, steroid medications, and hormone replacement therapy

Each ovule contains:
Lactobacillus acidophilus (two strains) .......200 million CFU
In a Base of Pure Rose Essential Oil and and garlic (Allium sativum)

Directions
Using the applicator, insert one suppository approximately three inches into the vagina and release.
Remove the applicator.
Use one or two suppositories daily, ideally overnight, or as professionally recommended.
Keep refrigerated or in freezer when possible to maintain optimal shelf life.
*All HMF probiotics are gluten and casein free.

Hormonal changes, especially during pregnancy and menopause, can promote bacterial overgrowth.
HMF Candigen is indicated for symptoms associated with vaginitis, including itching and inflammation; and for candidiasis, yeast and parasitic infections. HMF Candigen is recommended during and after use of antibiotics, vaginal and oral contraceptives, steroids and hormone replacement therapy to replace normal vaginal flora. For maximum benefits, HMF Candigen should be used along with HMF Candigen Cream.
Are HMF products shipped with an ice pack? No. But, after extensive product testing and new freeze drying technology performed by Genestra, it was concluded that the ice pack did not make a difference during shipping since the product potency was still well over 100% label claims when shipped with ice or no ice. The manufacturer states that it is no longer necessary to ship the HMF products with an ice pack for these reasons:
Genestra has added in 50% more probiotic than what the label guarantees per bottle. For example, HMF Forte is guaranteed to have 6 billion L. acidophilus per serving, but there are 12 billion present at time of manufacturing and it is kept frozen until shipping.
October 2004: The manufacturer has increased product stability again, allowing the probiotics to last up to 6 months at room temperature holding their GUARANTEED minimum potency on label!
You will receive your HMF probiotic directly from the manufacturer in about 3-5 days. This product is very fresh and has not been sitting around on our shelves. And, you are guaranteed it will contain 50% more than what the label states.
How do I travel with my HMF probiotics? We highly recommend you take your probiotics with you on all trips and vacations since their potency will last for up to 6 months at room temperature un-refrigerated. But, when possible and if convenient, we recommend you store your probiotics in the freezer or refrigerator, especially if you plan to preserve freshness of your product for months or years.

Great for nipping yeast infections in the bud. I use them before symptoms get bad and usually feel fine within a day or two. I just wish the suppositories came in a smaller size. If I use the whole thing they make a huge mess. I have to cut them in half.

This product has been enormously helpful to me. After chemo for breast cancer put me into premature menopause six years ago, I suffered from frequent yeast infections. Although it is a bit messy, it is a godsend.

I absolutely love this product! Constantly having yeast infections and BV, I'm always looking for a cure. Candigen is what I need! Used at night, you will "leak" and will need a liner in the morning. But you will be yeast free, and will not have the side effect of strange discharge like many products leave you with. I wish there were more than 6 in a box, and the price gets steep if you use this frequently, but it's great stuff!
