Heavy Metal Toxicity

Heavy metal toxicity from Mercury and Lead, is a clinically significant medical condition which affects many of us and is often un-diagnosed.  Mercury is a poison, highly toxic to humans in any amount, and is very harmful to the cells and tissues.  We ingest or inhale inorganic mercury through our air, food, water, and soil—our bodies can even absorb it through our skin.

We are all exposed to mercury from dental fillings, vaccines, flu shots, house paints, contact lens solution, cosmetics, ink in tattoos, plastics, agricultural pollutants, fungicides, pesticides, and seafood such as tuna and Swordfish.  The question is, has your body been able to detoxify this toxic poison out of your system, or are you holding onto it in your tissues?  If you have toxic levels of mercury in your body, significant health problems can result.

Mercury Toxicity

Mercury is one of the most common heavy metals implicated in acute and chronic conditions, and the symptoms can be seemingly unrelated including foggy brain, tremors, impaired immune system, thyroid problems, and skin rashes.  As the body eliminates mercury, the symptoms can be unpleasant at times, and it can take months or years for complete mercury removal to occur, yet it is a critical treatment to undertake. Please see a complete symptoms list for mercury toxicity listed below the products.

The supplements listed below are known to effectively bind and eliminate heavy metals in the body and tissues.

Testing For Mercury

Hair Analysis

A hair mineral analysis is one of the most reliable ways to check for Mercury toxicity.  As a person detoxifies mercury, it is deposited into the hair and other body tissues.  A high mercury level often indicates the body is actively trying to eliminate large amounts of mercury from the cells.  There are nutritional supplements and dietary protocols to aid the body to rid itself of this toxic mercury.

Urine Analysis

Urine analysis is usually done over an 18-24 hour period after being given a chelating agent in order to force the body to release mercury into the urine.

Lead Toxicity

Lead is the most significant toxin of the heavy metals. An epidemic of lead poisoning has emerged due to the addition of lead to paints, dyes, and gasoline.  Inorganic forms of lead typically affect the Central Nervous System (CNS), peripheral nervous system (PNS), liver, renal, GI, cardiovascular, and reproductive systems.  Lead toxicities tend to affect the CNS, thus detoxification is critical.
